Back to School

I’m going back to school.

Yes, at age 40 something (LOL), I have decided to go back to school and complete my bachelor’s degree. It’s one of those things I have had on my bucket list. Its the time in my life where I see going back to school is feasible and I’m so excited.

Excited and scared.

I’ve always wanted to finish my degree. After many years of thinking about it, this year I’m doing something about it. With support and prayers from some close friends, I feel God leading me to move forward with this dream. I’m not sure what the road will look like, but I’m giving it all to God. I know God will be with me during the entire journey.

I will be taking many classes online and on campus and I will be in classes with people younger than me. While I will be nervous and scared, I also pray that I can teach the students about never giving up on your dreams. I would like them to see that with drive, determination, and God you can accomplish your dreams.

Have you given up on something that was a dream?

Is there something you have always dreamed of doing but feel your are too old?

Pray to God and ask Him for guidance. Ask Him if you are to move forward. If He tells you to do it – then do it!! Don’t wait. Life is too short.

Psalm 119:73-74 (NIV) Your hands made me and formed me; give me understanding to learn your commands. May those who fear you rejoice when they see me, for I have put my hope in your word.

  1. GIRL! I am so stinkin’ proud of you! What a blessing you will be to your fellow students … they are gonna love you (and probably call you Mama Jeanie!!)
