It’s Never Too Late

Psalm 37:23 (NIV) The Lord makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him;

Have you still got a dream in your heart from your childhood or teenage years?

Have you still got a dream you think about everyday?

It’s never too late…..

Just because you are in you 30’s, 40’s, 50’s or even 60’s, doesn’t mean your dreams can not come true. After school, you married and then their came some babies. With career, family, and parenting, your dreams have been placed on the back burner. You worry more about providing and teaching your children to meet their dreams than meeting your dreams.

So why can’t we as parents or employees or retiree’s make our dreams come true.

It seems like in January of every year we all get excited about making new goals and starting new things. This is a great thing, but can’t we do this all year. Can’t we make goals and get excited in April, May, August, or September?

During my devotion time this morning, the verse above was referenced and taking the next step toward your passion was addressed. Benjamin Franklin was 40 when he discovered properties of electricity, Julia Child was 51 when she made her TV debut appearance and Abraham and Sarah was 100 and 90 respectfully when they had their first born.

So why do we think, I, think age 45 is too old to make my passion come true. I think we should pray and spend time with God talking about our passions but also listening for Him to speak to us about it. I’m going to spend time praying about my dreams and see if God is ready to my “steps firm” while I delight in Him.

What is your passion? What is something you have always wanted to do?

GO DO IT! I’ll be glad to keep you motivated. Comment and let me know what you feel God pushing you toward.
